Surf & Yoga Retreats in Lombok

No One-Size-Fits-All Approach

At Xanadu, we know that every journey is unique. That’s why we’ve created a range of Surf & Yoga programs tailored to different needs, goals, and experience levels — offered across our two distinct locations: Xanadu Village, our cosy surf-camp-style home in the heart of Kuta, and Xanadu Retreat, our elevated barefoot-luxury sanctuary overlooking the ocean.

Each program is thoughtfully curated to meet you where you are, blending mindful coaching, yoga, and community in a supportive, down-to-earth environment. This isn’t a cookie-cutter retreat — it’s a personalized experience designed to help you grow, flow, and feel at home in your own rhythm.

Two Homes, Many Journeys – Discover the Xanadu That Fits You

Xanadu Retreat

Perched on a hill with spectacular vistas over swaying treetops and across Kuta Bay, our Xanadu Boutique Resort is for discerning surfers who enjoy the finer things in life. It’s special, to be sure. But it’s more than just a place to snap droolworthy Instagram pics. It’s a peaceful and serene home away from home that’s equal parts luxurious and intimate.

Available programs – Saturday to Saturday:

Xanadu Village

Nestled amongst lush green vegetation in a quiet cul-de-sac roughly 5 minute’s walk from the bars, cafes and restaurants of Kuta, this 6-bedroom location is definitely impressive, don’t get us wrong, but it’s more casual cool than upscale fancy. With comfy, cosy bedrooms, an outdoor dining area and pool plus a rooftop yoga space, it’s a modern meets traditional bed and breakfast-style oasis for salty souls and curious travellers.

Available programs – Sunday Sunday:

We are travelling in a group. Can we stay at Xanadu Retreat in the same room and book different programs?

2
3

Yes, absolutely! At Xanadu, we’ve designed our programs to cater to different interests and experience levels — whether you’re here to surf, deepen your yoga practice, or enjoy both. Each of you can book a different program and still share the same room.

You’ll also get to enjoy plenty of shared moments together — from meals to community activities and some of the afternoon workshops that bring all guests together. It’s the perfect balance between personal growth and shared experience.

If you wish to book the same room while choosing two different packages, just drop us an email and our team will assist you with a manual booking.

What's the difference between Xanadu Village and Xanadu Retreat?

3

Both Xanadu Village and Xanadu Retreat share the same heart and philosophy — a balance of surf, yoga, community, and connection — but they offer different experiences to suit your style of travel.

Xanadu Village

Located in the heart of Kuta Lombok, the Village has a cozy, surf-camp feel with six rooms and a laid-back atmosphere. It’s ideal for beginner and intermediate surfers looking for a social, friendly environment where everything revolves around surf, yoga, and connection.

  • Six-room boutique property

  • Daily surf & yoga schedule year-round

  • Walkable location close to cafes and beaches

Xanadu Retreat

Perched on the hillside with ocean views, the Retreat offers a more elevated “barefoot luxury” experience. It’s designed for guests who want to unwind, deepen their practice, and enjoy comfort and privacy — while still being part of the Xanadu community.

  • Infinity pool, spa, ice bath & wellness facilities

  • Three different programs running in parallel - you can choose a program that best fits your needs

Am I required to participate in all the activities?

2
3
Nope! We’re pretty mellow when it comes to this, so feel free to join in or skip any activity on the program. The choice is always yours.

I've never surfed before. Can beginners join?

2
3
Of course! We split you into groups based on your level of ability. This means beginners go with other beginners and so on. We’ll then give you a comprehensive rundown on the beach before we go in. You’ll surf small, mellow waves in waist-deep water under the careful guidance of our experienced instructors. And we’ll make sure your first waves are on a soft foam board that’s safe and super user-friendly.

Can I stay less than a week?

2
3

To ensure the highest quality of holiday experience, we only accept Saturday-Saturday stays at Xanadu Retreat and Sunda-Sunday stays at Xanadu Village.

We've carefully created the weekly programmes for you to have the ultimate surf & yoga experience.

How to get to Lombok?

By plane

The quickest and the easiest way of getting to Lombok is by plane. Lombok International Airport (LOP) has direct flights from:

  • Kuala Lumpur (Air Asia) - 3hrs
  • Singapore (Scoot) - 2hrs
  • Jakarta (Garuda, Air Asia, SuperJet, CityLink, Lion) - 2hrs
  • Bali (Wings Air, CityLink) - 25mins
  • Other Indonesian airports

We're a 25-min drive from the airport.

The easiest way to book domestic flights is via Traveloka.com - an Indonesian equivalent of booking.com as some of the airlines do not accept online payments on their websites. Use Traveloka for airlines other than Garuda and AirAsia - AirAsia and Garuda can be booked directly.

By fast boat from Bali

Another, not-so-fast option, is a fast boat from Padang Bai in Bali to Bangasal/Senggigi in Lombok. The boat takes around 3 hours and it's another 2.5 hr drive from the harbour to Xanadu.

There are multiple fast boat companies, to name a few: Eka Jaya, Ostina, Blue Water Express etc. You can check the schedule and book your ticket directly with them.

By public ferry from Bali

It's the longest ride you can take and the cheapest one. The ferry leaves from Padang Bai and goes to Lembar. The ride takes anything between 4-6 hours depending on the sea conditions. There is no schedule and no advance bookings. The ferry operates 24/7 and leaves on average every 2 hours or when full. The drive from Lembar to Kuta takes 1.5 hour.
